Membership Survey Announcement

Dear AWS Blackhawk Section Members,

I am very excited about being the Chairman for your AWS Section. Our Executive board is made up of 5 individuals which together have over 100 years of experience in the welding industry. That’s 100 years of SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, Laser Welding, FCAW, Robotic Integration, and Welding Inspections. We need your help and participation in order to continue to grow our section and to get the next generation of welders involved.

As many of you may know our industry is continuing to grow and we want to make sure that your AWS chapter grows with the industry. We are contacting all the members to see what type of events and functions would be most impactful and beneficial for us to plan in the upcoming months and years. Your Blackhawk Section is here to support and interact with it’s members and community and it starts now.

The Executive board is wanting to host a dinner to acknowledge some for our Lifetime members as well as a few other members that have been recognized for 20+ years of membership with the AWS. Personal Development Hours can be achieved by attending some AWS sponsored events as well for the CWI needing their PDH’s. Please take the time to complete and return the questionnaire below as we appreciate your feedback.

Would you as a member attend an Annual Dinner Event? How about a tour of an Aerospace Welding Job Shop or an Area Welding College? What other types of events would you consider attending or like to see from your AWS Chapter?
