November 2019 Section Meeting Notice
Greetings AWS Central Louisiana Section Members & Friends,

Our October meeting the Louisiana Delta Community College in Winnsboro was one of are larges attended meetings this year. A presentation on Welding Defects and Discontinuities lead by Section Chairman Tom Malo. There were 31 student and 8 AWS members in attendance, the students were very engaged and asked a lot of questions.
Our November meeting will be held at the new CLTCC Riverside Campus; we will tour the new facility which has 56 individual welding booths additionally we will also discuss the CLTCC Welding course offerings.
On December 5, 2019 the AWS Central Louisiana Section will hold its 4th Annual High School Welding Competition; we currently have 46 students from 10 High Schools competing. We are asking any Central Louisiana Section CWI’s to volunteer to be one of the 3 needed competition Judges.
