SPEAKER: Alexander Purvis, Welding Engineer, CWI, CWE, CWS, CWSR

SPEAKER BIO: MECHANIZING THE WELDING INDUSTRY

Alexander Purvis is a 2015 graduate of LeTourneau University’s Materials Joining Engineering / Engineering Technology program. He has his Bachelors of Science in Engineering Technology with a Materials Joining Concentration. He holds the following AWS Certifications:  Certified Welding Inspector, Certified Welding Educator, Certified Welding Supervisor and Certified Welding Sales Representative. Alexander has worked at Trinity Industries Rail Division in Longview as a Welding Technician and taught Trinity’s weld school, as well as worked in their Engineering Department helping develop new procedures to reduce rejects and rework. He also worked at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Group in Grand Prairie, working on the JLTV project, and laser welding of the PAC-3 Missile.

Alexander currently works for Red Ball Oxygen as a Welding Engineer providing welding solutions and supporting automation and customer projects for Red Ball’s customers.
