Presentation and Demos on Grinding and Cutting Abrasives
May Tool Inc hosted October’s Section meeting at their facility in Paramount. Guest Speaker Jerry Dillon from Weiler Abrasives did a fantastic presentation about proper use of abrasives (grinding wheels, cutting wheels, etc), how to prevent accidents, and how to select the appropriate product for your production line.
After the presentation, attendees had a chance to try out the abrasives hands on.
We ended the night with our traditional raffle! May Tool graciously donated top of the line safety glasses, and Weiler donated a Home Depot gift card. We had bags with goodies from some of our Section sponsors, Lincoln Electric, Fronius USA, and Westchester Gear, and the big prize was $150 cash !!!
The cash prize went to Nathan Liszewski, who recently moved from Wisconsin and has been an active member of the Section in Wisconsin for many years. We’re happy to see that you are still an active AWS member Nathan!
