October Section Meeting at the Nashville Steam Preservation Society – 10/21

October Section Meeting at the

Nashville Steam Preservation Society

Thursday, 10/21 at 6:00PM CDT

The October Nashville Section Meeting will be a visit to the Tennessee Central Railway Museum, and the Nashville Steam Preservation Society.

The Nashville Steam Preservation Society’s current goal is the restoration to operation of Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway No. 576. NC&StL No. 576 restoration began in 2019, after spending 65 years in Centennial Park. The restoration of Locomotive 576 is intended to serve as a visceral link to the history of Nashville and honor those who make the region great. The locomotive was designed in Nashville and has called the Music City home since delivery from the factory in 1942.
