Board Election Notice

AWS San Fernando Valley Section Members,

It is time to hold elections for our AWS San Fernando Valley Section Officers.

We encourage your participation. If you are interested or know of someone who would like to run for any office, pleased return the Ballot Flyer with the information.  

The voting positions are; Chairman, 1st Vice Chairman, 2nd Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer.  Some of the appointed (volunteer) positions are; Student Affairs and Liaison, Scholarship and Foundation, Publicity, Membership, Education, Certification and Image of Welding (see the following link for a full list of officers and duties and responsibilities, www.aws.org/library/doclib/Suggested-Duties-and-Responsibilities-for-Section-Officers-and-Committee-Chairs.pdf).

This is your section and the opportunity to volunteer.

The new section officers will fill those positions for the 2019-2020 AWS term after the ballots are tallied. Ballots should be returned to us by Wednesday, June 5, 2019.

Those nominated should provide a short personal biography to the election committee by returning this email to our section secretary at  [email protected] with the information. We will announce your new AWS Section Officers in our next newsletter.
