JUNE 2019 SECTION MEETING
Welding and Industrial Gas Safety
Thursday, June 27th, 2019
Greetings AWS Utah members,
The next section meeting technical topic will be “WELDING AND INDUSTRIAL GAS SAFETY” with speaker: Scott Weaver. This program will describe how gases used in welding and industrial applications are manufactured and packaged. We will discuss the unique safety hazards associated with each gas as well as their proper storage and handling. There will also be a tour of a compressed gas cylinder filling facility.
A certificate will be issued to all interested parties requiring proof of continuing education or professional development hours (PDHs) at the meeting. Two (2) PDHs will be offered to those attending the full presentation.
Seating is limited to the first 20 section members registering. If there is enough interest a second presentation will be scheduled 8:30 – 10:30 that night or on subsequent date(s).
