Please Join Us for the AWS Alaska Section Online (Zoom) Meeting on Thursday, May 19, 2022, 11:30am – 1pm AKDT (Alaska Daylight Time)

• Round table self-introduction
• Scholarship – AWS
• Treasurer’s Report, and AWS Alaska Foundation scholarship – Update
• AWS Alaska Section 125, Section Officers and Volunteers needed
• AWS Alaska Section Bylaws, Needing revised to fit AWS Alaska Members better
• AWS Alaska, Library status
• AWS Portland Section is scheduled to host the 2022 District 19 Conference
  AWS District 19 Conference – June 3rd and 4th (Fri, Sat) @ Hotel Rose, Downtown Portland, OR,
  Friday, June 3rd 6pm – meet and greet in the Morrison Room. Saturday, June 4th 8am – District Conference meeting in the Morrison Room. 
  
  Any Alaska Section Member interested in attending (in-person, zoom), please reply to [email protected] soon. 
  
  Flights are paid by AWS HQ, and lodging, meals and ground transportation is paid for by AWS AK Section.
  
  
• Meeting closure input (i.e. Special announcements, Anything else, and Others), and meeting recap
• April 28 comments – Summer meeting suggested; 
• Next meeting tentative schedule May 17, 18, or 19; 
• Possibly combine future AWS AK section meeting with other technical society(s), i.e. ASCE, ASME, ASNT, SEAAK, Others.
