February 2018 Meeting Announcement BSA Welding Merit Badge

Greetings AWS Blackhawk Section Members & Friends,

As the BSA Welding Merit Badge event approaches we will have to get a few things in place ahead of time. A completed and signed Activity Consent Form is required to participate (19-673.pdf). You can find this Activity Consent Form on the BSA website http://www.scouting.org/forms.aspx or google BSA activity consent form. On Friday, February 2nd, 5:30-8:30pm. we will cover safety, including a welding safety test that must be passed in order to work in the lab. On Saturday February 3rd, 8am-12:30pm. we will begin our lab portion of the Welding Merit Badge. We will meet in The Rock Valley College Samuelson Road Center located at 4151 Samuelson Rd. (Not at the RVC main campus). The welding lab is in the southwest corner of the building.

1.Leather boots and jeans without holes or frayed edges are required.
