Steel Fab has provided innovative design and fabrication expertise to a wide range of industries since 1967. We have two manufacturing facilities in Fitchburg, Massachusetts and a fully staffed engineering department to produce a wide range of large fabricated gates, gate operating systems, fixed cone valves for dams, hydroelectric stations and municipal water and waste water applications.
In addition to our line of water control equipment, we also produce custom fabrications for various power generation sectors and maintain our NAVSEA welder and nondestructive testing qualifications for our work in the Navy’s marine propulsion drive programs.
Steel Fab-Inc. is recognized as a national leader in heavy plate fabrication and has developed a manufacturing continuum that meets demanding quality requirements. Our fully equipped shop provides complete fabrication services making project coordination more cost-effective.
Our welding utilizes a variety of processes, including the ability to Gas Tungsten Arc Weld, Flux core Arc Weld, Shielded Metal Arc, and Submerged Arc. We work with various materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome-moly, and other alloys. To ensure that the Steel-Fab Quality Control standards are unsurpassed, we have instituted a QC check and balance system that continually monitors each operation throughout the manufacturing process at our Fitchburg, Massachusetts facilities.
Pizza and soft drinks will be served in the shop following the completion of the tour.
