On May 4th, the Central Florida-Orlando Section of the AWS convened a meeting at the Ironworkers Local Union 808, which included a presentation by Richard Watford, the Apprenticeship Coordinator/Training Director. During the meeting, attendees were provided with an overview of the type of work performed by Ironworkers, as well as an explanation of the Apprenticeship Training program. Following the presentation, a tour of the Union hall and training facility was conducted, providing attendees with the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of the facilities and resources available to those seeking to enter the field of ironworking. Overall, the meeting was an informative and insightful event that provided valuable information to those in attendance.
