Central Piedmont Community College Welding Technology department and the student chapter of the AWS held the 6th annual Welding merit badge workshop for the Scouts of America. AWS club advisor, Ray Sosko, along with other Welding faculty and student club members demonstrated GMAW-S welding, Cutting, AWS history, & Safety lectures to 15 scouts from the Charlotte, NC area. Along with a merit badge the Scouts took home a personalized welded memento in the form of an airplane.
