The Cleveland AWS section will be hosting an in-person meeting on Tuesday, March 12th at 6:00 pm.
The meeting will be at the Lincoln Electric Welding Technology and Training Center located at 22800 St. Claire Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44117.
Elliott Ash will give a presentation about the capabilities of the laser welding process. He will speak about hot wire laser welding and hybrid laser welding applications and how they are used in industry.
After the presentation, the group will be invited to go across the street to the Lincoln Electric Automation building for a tour of the laser applications facility and a demonstration of laser welding. Elliott Ash is a Welding Engineer for laser applications at the Lincoln Electric Company. Elliott
has worked for Lincoln Electric for 17 years and has held positions as an Application Engineer, Waveform Developer in Machine R&D, and a Product Manager for aluminum solutions. Elliott has a bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering from the Ohio State University.
