We are kicking off this year’s calendar with our popular SOFA event. SOFA is short for Southern Ohio Forge and Anvil group. They are one of the largest Blacksmith groups in the world, and put on a great exhibit of the early roots of the welding business – Forge Welding. After the demonstration, try your hand at working steel yourself at one of the many forges that they will have available for guests to use.
We will meet at 6 PM at the Miami County Fairgrounds in the SOFA building. We will have pizza and pop for dinner and the demonstration will begin at 7 PM. Cost for Dinner will be $10 for members, $5 for students. Please RSVP by Monday, October 28th at 5 PM. If you would just like to attend the presentation, arrive by 7 PM at no cost, but please RSVP.
Note: This meeting is open to the public. Scout groups and welding / technology students are cordially invited to attend.
