Our speaker is Kodi Welch from Miller Electric. Kodi currently serves as a member of the AWS D1.2 Structural Aluminum Code Committee. Kodi also graduated Utah State University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Welding Engineering Technology. Since, Kodi has worked for Miller Electric in several different business units including Global Pipe, Industrial Engine Drives, and currently with Industrial Systems Group. Welding Codes 101
A Basic Overview of Welder Certification and Welding Procedure Development With AWS Welding Codes

This discussion will be a basic overview of how welding codes are used in a fabrication environment. The information is intended to help welding and fabrication shops understand the basic steps involved in Certifying their Welders, developing Welding Procedures, and understanding how Welding Procedures provide a vital role in improving efficiency and quality on the shop floor. This topic will be informative for the Weld Engineer, Weld Supervisor and the Welder.

All are welcome for this free event. This presentation qualifies for AWS Professional Development   Hours for CWI renewal.
