<\/strong>For students pursuing a specific degree at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university. Scholarships range from $3,000 \u2013 $5,000+.<\/p>
<\/strong>A minimum of $15,000 is available in each of AWS\u2019s 22 Districts for students pursuing a degree or certificate in a welding or welding-related program. Scholarships typically range from $1,000 to $2,500+.<\/p>
<\/u><\/strong>The Kansas Section Scholarship was established in 2013 as a means to provide educational support to those pursuing Career and Technical Education in the field of Welding Technology. Through the works of the fundraising committee they were able to raise the funds and leave a lasting scholarship that could benefit the students of Kansas for years to come. This scholarship is designated for those that are entering either a two-year or 4 year institution with the goal of obtaining an associate\u2019s or bachelor\u2019s degree in welding technology or a similarly related field.<\/p>
<\/strong><\/u>To help the future generation of welders within the state of Kansas meet the goals of the workforce by providing educational opportunities to those entering college and studying the field of Welding Technology at a Kansas Institution.<\/p>
The recipient will be chosen by a Selection Committee comprised of the Executive board of the Kansas Section.<\/p>
