This month’s meeting is brought to you by OTC Daihen. Come learn about OTC Daihen’s new advanced welding process known as D-Arc. You will get a chance to witness some welds by the first and only system currently available in the United States.  HERE is a YouTube link highlighting the process that will be demonstrated live. We are grateful to Austal for hosting us and providing a location to witness a live arc welding demonstration. We are especially thankful to OTC’s Larry Barley who is traveling from Ohio to bring us this presentation and demonstration. OTC Daihen & Larry Barley: OTC Daihen is the world’s number 1 manufacturer of arc welding robots and is a one-stop shop for robotic and manual welding solutions. As a company, OTC Daihen has been in business since 1919 and producing welding power sources since 1934. Larry Barley has his Bachelors’ of Science in Welding Engineering from Ohio State.  Throughout his career he has worked at Goodyear Aerospace, Hobart Brothers, AP Automotive, AFC Stamping & Production, Android Ind., and OTC Daihen where he currently works as a Research and Development Engineer.  In addition, he has also supported AWS as Dayton Section Chairman, A2 Committee Chairman, AWS Terms & Definitions Committee Member, AWS Symbols Committee Advisor, 20 year AWS CWI, and 12 year AWS CRAW-T.
