The Mobile Section held their November meeting at The Blacksmith Experience in Daphne, AL. Jerry Gardner, owner and operator of The Blacksmith Experience shared his experience in blacksmithing and knife making. Over the years he has used his talents for artwork, furniture, functional structure and knife making. Now as owner and operator of The Blacksmith Experience, he focuses his skills on teaching those who want to learn the trade of blacksmithing and bladesmithing. Jerry demonstrated different techniques in blade making.
Lincoln Electric sponsored the meeting and provided boxed dinners for all in attendance. Additionally, Lincoln Electric purchased a gift certificate for a free class to The Blacksmith Experience and the gift certificate was given away as a door prize. Also, given away at the meeting was an AWS overnight bag provided by the Mobile Section.
There were 17 in attendance at the meeting.
