Shielding Gas… Is it Really that Important?

Greetings AWS Members and Friends,

Scott Blankman, CWI/CWE is Region General Manager for Matheson Tri-Gas for the East Region compassing Iowa. Scott has worked as a Field Welding Engineer for both Praxair and Miller Electric. During this time, he participated in multiple designs and advisory committees for advanced welding process equipment and waveforms. Currently he has two patents pending, one of which is shielding gas related and is currently serving on five national AWS code committees.

• Tour of the Welding Department and Diversified Manufacturing Program Provided
• Lunch will be available for purchase
• Attendees will earn 1.5 PDH for participation
• PPE Requirements: safety glasses, long pants, closed-toe shoes
