Scholarships range from $3,000 &#8211; $5,000+.<strong><br \/><\/strong><\/p><p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aws.org\/foundation\/page\/district-scholarships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">District Scholarships<\/a><br \/><\/strong>A minimum of $15,000 is available in each of AWS&#8217;s 22 Districts for students pursuing a degree or certificate in a welding or welding-related program. Scholarships typically range from $1,000 to $2,500+.<\/p><p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aws.org\/foundation\/page\/section-named-and-district-named-scholarships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Section and District Named Scholarships<\/a><\/strong><\/p><p><strong>District 8 Women of Gases &amp; Welding Scholarship<\/strong><\/p><p>Founded in November 2011, the Women of Gases &amp; Welding (WGW) has a mission to enhance the success of women in the gases and welding industry through advocacy, recruitment, and professional development. Functioning as a committee within GAWDA (Gases and Welding Distributors Association), WGW designs professional development programming for women at national conferences and engages sponsors to support programming and scholarships for women.<\/p><p><strong>Jimmy Walker Sr.\/Saf-T-Cart Scholarship<\/strong><\/p><p>This scholarship is for a student who is enrolled in the Welding Program at Coahoma Community College.<\/p><p><strong>Gary Enders Scholarship<\/strong><\/p><p>This scholarship was established by nexAir in honor of Gary Enders.<\/p><ul><li>Priority is for a welding student at Moore Tech College of Technology \u00a0(aka William R. Moore College of Technology)<\/li><li>If no applicants from Moore Tech, then the scholarship may go to a applicant from District 8, with preference for the West Tennessee Section<\/li><li>Students may be pursuing a certificate, Associates Degree, or Bachelor\u2019s Degree<\/li><\/ul><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aws.org\/foundation\/page\/welder-training-scholarship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Welder Training Scholarship<\/strong><\/a><br \/>For students seeking welder training in a certificate program less than two years in length through a trade school, community college, or other facility providing welder training.
