The AWS New Orleans Section is inviting you to participate in our April General Meeting. The meeting is being sponsored by the Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA) Central Gulf Coast, Mr. Henry Heier, Executive Director. The MCA serves the unique needs of mechanical contractors and firms involved in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, piping, and mechanical service throughout the Central Gulf Coast Region.  

Our meeting Speakers are Mr. Paul and Jacob Newton with New Orleans Pipe Trades who will be delivering a presentation on “The Wonderful World of Welding”. This presentation will focus on proper welding techniques, application of procedures and processes, training opportunities through registered apprenticeship, requirements for maintaining a sustainable skilled workforce to facilitate industry demands, career opportunities and the benefits to those who decide to be involved in the welding industry. 

This meeting will be catered by Rougarou BBQ. 

This meeting is FREE and open to anyone with an interest in welding. Bring a friend, relative, or come alone and be prepared for a very informative evening among your peers. We hope to see you there!
