Ladies and Gentlemen,<\/p>

Come join the AWS North Texas Section and join in the fun. It is time for our Student Scholarship Awards Program for 2021. We are going to award 2 North Texas Section Students with scholarship funds on May 18th. We are also playing the \u201cWelding Jeopardy\u201d game again this year, so come out to the meeting and join in the fun and test your welding knowledge against your colleagues.<\/p>

Meeting Details<\/strong>
We will be meeting at the Saltgrass Steakhouse located at 2200 Lamar Blvd in Arlington, Tx 76006. Tuesday May 18th. Dinner from 6:15 \u2013 7:00 pm and the meeting begins at 7:00 pm.<\/p>

Do not forget to bring your donations for Irving Cares (a division of the North Texas Food Bank). Bring 2 cans or boxes of dry goods and receive a raffle ticket for a drawing at the end of the meeting.<\/p>

Section Scholarships<\/strong>
The Tim Hatten CWI\/CWEng Scholarship is available for all North Texas Section Members who are interested in advancing their carriers and taking the next step. Visit the North Texas website at\u00a0https:\/\/awssection.com\/northtexas\/scholarships\/<\/a>\u00a0to print out the application. Return a copy to Nazdhia and to the North Texas Section at\u00a0northtexas@awssections.org<\/a>\u00a0for committee review.<\/p>

Officer Elections<\/strong>
We will be tallying the votes and announcing the new board officers for the 2021 \u2013 23 term.<\/p>

But, don\u2019t forget we also have plenty of volunteer positions available as well if you or your colleagues are interested in being a more active member in the section.<\/p>

June Fundraiser
<\/strong>June 19th is our annual Tim Hatten Sporting Clays Fundraiser. Come spend the day with your father, son, friend or colleague and bust some caps and clays for a great fundraising event. This is an opportunity to honor our colleague Tim Hatten and raise funds to support our Tim Hatten CWI\/CWEng Scholarship Program.
