The Pittsburgh AWS Section is proud to present a full line up of plant tours and technical presentations for its members for the 2018 − 2019 year.

I hope that you will find one of the meetings we have scheduled of interest and plan to attend. If you have any ideas for our chapter or suggestions for a future meeting or plant tour, please contact any of our Board members.

Joint AWS/ASNT Technical Meeting – Tuesday, March 12th, 2019
Title: Advanced NDE Techniques
Speakers: Gary Kistler, Advanced NDT Manager with Diamond Technical Services

Gary will give an overview of inspection technology, changes, improvement and innovation as it applies to NDE testing. Advanced NDE technology (Pulsed Eddy Current, Phased Array, Total Focusing Method / Full Matrix Capture, Guided Wave Ultrasonics, Array Eddy Current, and 3D Laser Mapping will be discussed. Examples will be given of merging of Advanced NDE methods to meet client’s needs with examples (High Energy Piping, Automated Corrosion Mapping, Guided Wave Ultrasonics, etc.)

Note: This is our annual joint meeting with ASNT.
