The Pittsburgh AWS Section is proud to present a full line up of plant tours and technical presentations for its members for the 2019 − 2020 year.

Plant Tour – Saturday, August 10th, 2019
Title: Beaver Valley Nuclear Power Station
The Beaver Valley Power Station operates two pressurized water reactors, producing 1815 megawatts (MW) of electricity, enough to power more than a million homes!
This year’s AWS Pittsburgh Section plant tour will be done in conjunction with a Family Day event at the Beaver Valley Power Station for friends and family. There will be a tour of the Control Room Simulator, a virtual tour of the plant, Security demonstration, tour of replacement Steam Generators and Reactor Head, and Safety and Human Performance demonstrations.
