Hello to members of the RGV Section of the AWS. I wanted to take the opportunity to extend everyone a Happy New Year. We have gone through a very difficult year and have hopes for better times ahead. I wanted to share some exciting information for our region. Texas Southmost College will be kicking off their brand new welding program. They are doing so by offering 100 tuition free spots for a 14 week welding program. There are very few pre-requisites. For the most part students have to be 18 years of age and provide their own PPE. It is a great opportunity to learn SMAW, MIG, and FCAW. There are day, night, and weekend classes available.
