Chairman’s Corner
Greetings welding community,
I am sure many of us are going through the excitement of preparing for Christmas. It’s hard to believe we are closing out another decade, 2019 is almost a memory and 2020 will be here before we know it.
Our November speaker was Rick Scharenbroch from The Miller Electric Company, Rick spoke to our section attendees about advanced TIG welding. We want to thank Rick for traveling to do this presentation.
Our next section function will be held at Thomas Nelson Community College on January 9th. Our speaker will be Jerry Mathison from Select Arc. Select Arc is known for their excellence in producing tubular welding electrodes, to include flux cored and metal cored carbon steel, low alloy, stainless steel, nickel alloy and hardsurfacing wire. Jerry will be focusing his presentation on stainless steel welding. Please try to attend this presentation and enjoy the company of others that share the privilege of being involved in the welding community.
As 2019 comes to a close all of the Tidewater Section board members want to send each of you wishes for a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy new year. I hope to see you at Thomas Nelson on Thursday January 9th.
