Kalin Lee Atkins, 18, entered rest on Monday, September 17, 2012, in Pike County, Ind. He was born on August 26, 1994, in Evansville, Ind. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Rev. Claude Atkins; several aunts and uncles. Kalin was a senior at Wood Memorial High School and also welding student at Pike Central High School. He enjoyed baseball, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his father, Bill Atkins, Of Oakland City, Ind.; mother, Lori (Hunt) Atkins, of Oakland City, Ind.; brother, Damon (Jana) Atkins, of Oakland City, Ind.; nephew, Berkley Atkins; paternal grandmother, Barbara Atkins, of Oakland City, Ind.; maternal grandparents, Bob and Phyllis Hunt, of Oakland City, Ind.; special friend, Hannah Wilson, of Oakland City, Ind.

Funeral services will be Thursday September 20, 2012, 10 a.m. Oakland City Church of the Nazarene, with burial in Montgomery Cemetery. Rev. Darin D. Nossett and Rev. Mike Atkins will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapeland from 8 a.m. until services on Thursday at Church. Donation in honor of Kalin made to WMHS baseball fund envelopes will be available.
