Recap: AWS/ASNT Student Vendor Night – Apr 19th

April 19, 2022 – Greenville Technical College, Center For Manufacturing Innovation; Greenville, SC
Our 2022 ASNT/AWS Student Vendor Night was a great success! This event was a kick-off for a revitalized AWS Western Carolina Section effort. It was a huge success! It was a fantastic evening with good food and even better company. We had 100+ students and 13 vendors join us. The event was so well attended, that we ran out of food! More food was brought in, but that is a positive sign.It was a really engaged audience. The students came eager to learn and ready to network with the industry professionals. For two hours the students were crowded around the tables asking questions and gaining valuable knowledge about the welding and NDT industry. It was great!Greenville Technical College instructors were all present and very enthusiastic. This event was a collective effort from Mr. Shearn, the instructors at Greenville Tech, our vendors, our members, AWS and ASNT. “THANK YOU” to Greenville Tech and their staff, for allowing us to host at their facility and making it an easy process to do so. Local AWS Western Carolina Section and ASNT Piedmont section members attended. Your presence and support positively helped aid us in working towards achieving our 2021-2022 goal to grow our members; ensuring that our local sections have a future. Last and certainly not least, our AWS and ASNT, volunteers that helped plan this event, and for all that you do to keep the section’s running. We are planning to have this event in Spring 2023.
