📢Join Us 2/8 for Joint ASME/AWS Meeting📢

The ASME Greenville Section and the AWS Westen Carolina Section invite members and their guests to an informative program on Non-Destructive Testing by Terry Haigler, Director of Research and Development (NDE) at Applied Inspection Systems, Inc.

We will gather at 6:00 PM for meet and greet followed by dinner. The program will begin immediately following the dinner.

Introduction to NDT with Advanced Application Case Studies:

This presentation covers an introduction to Nondestructive Testing including basic inspection methods such as Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), with a discussion of the primary applications for each. We start with an overview of material processing, basic welding methods used across most industries and inherent defects associated with each process. The closing slides will discuss a few case studies of industry failures where we had to rely on new and emerging techniques and applications to create an inspection plan to ensure the safety of employees while at work.
